Update 3.8

Back from an Egyptian vacation and Avery is ridiculously bored with homework.  Autumn Singh came over to work on it but got side tracked with talking about the school play.

Avery would also have best-friend Michael Parrot over after school to not do homework, even though Hunter would yell outside for them to settle down and get started.

Hunter, meanwhile, was feeling like his life was getting back on track.  His editor sent him on assignment to interview Nicola Riverhaven about growing up on a secluded island with limited technological advancement and her reason for moving to Moonlight Falls.

Hunter was also working on a story about the local fairies and took an opportunity to speak with Lindsay Goodfellow while Nicola attended something before her interview.

Nicola enthusiastically tells of growing up on Ouroboros Isle and her supernatural background.

After several years of solitude Hunter began feeling like he was ready to date again.  He was casually dating Lindsay.

Nicola was also interested in pursuing a relationship.

Hunter's relationship began to get more serious with Nicola and he spent as much time with her as he could.

They took their relationship slow and still wouldn't commit to each other.  Hunter did have Nicola over to visit and stay when she wanted.

Eventually, Hunter told Nicola his feeling were getting more serious but he still wasn't ready to move forward.

Unfortunately for Hunter his choice led to Nicola distance herself and asked to be just friends as she got engaged to someone else.  She was ready to settle down and Hunter wasn't there yet.

Life continued on and both Hunter and Avery were busy.  Occasionally they would cross by and Hunter would slow down and wave as they went by.

Hunter and Lindsay's relationship began to grow into something serious.

Lindsay wasn't used to a nocturnal life but soon adjusted to Hunter's needs.  The fair grounds don't stay open late so they were unable to enjoy all the events but they did try out the Love Tester and were thrilled with the result.

And it seems that life is full of twists and turns... learning from his mistake with Nicola, Hunter did not balk at his relationship becoming serious with Lindsay.  As he took that next step, across town Nicola was breaking off her engagement.

Looks like there is trouble in Moonlight Falls.  After the death of the the elder vampire Ayden, Vlad was poised to take the prime position.  He rebuilt the criminal empire with an alliance with Dante Morganthe.

It wasn't long before Hunter and Nicola found their way to each other.  Hunter knew he had more feeling for her and didn't waste anytime in asking her to be a part of his life.

Nicola hadn't moved in yet but she did practically live at the house.  Hunter was admiring the view before joining in the shower.  Just as he was about to strip down he sensed something off.

On assignment, Dante broke into the house he knew the two were in the bathroom and the child was sleeping upstairs.  Dante knew the moment Hunter could sense another vampire and slipped out before he was seen and before he completed his task.

Avery's birthday was a bittersweet moment.  Hunter wished that Kimberlee could have been there to see their boy grow into a young man.

Extended Family Update
  • Viola and Argus continue to be happily married.  She is still unaware that Vlad is in Moonlight Falls.  Argus has become an elder.  They have become foster parents and Viola hopes that Argus lives until another Autumnal Blue Moon as she still is eager to have another baby.
  • Kaily and Gator are happily raising their son and await to see which trait is dominant.  Gator became alpha of the pack after Argus stepped down.
  • Kesler and Felicity also continue to be happily married.  Felicity became an elder as well.  They did not conceive on the last Blue Moon and as such they will be childless.
  • Ripley and Shanda also continue to be happily married.  Itzel has grown into young adulthood and moved out on her own.  Shanda is feeling empty nest syndrome and looks forward to having more children as she can.

Update 3.7

Hunter and Kimberlee share a kiss under the falling snow after their wedding.

Hunter's wolfing was still rather unpredictable and seems to be correlated to various moods.  Feeling pretty ecstatically in love and being married, Hunter wolfed-out shortly after the ceremony.

Hunter and Kimberlee had a staycation honeymoon.  With Avery in the care of his grandparents the newlyweds enjoyed their hot tub.

Thoroughly exhausted from wedding night activities, Hunter and Kimberly snuggled in for good night sleep (the first in a long time considering they have an infant).

Before they knew it Avery was celebrating his toddler birthday.

Hunter invited over Ripley and his family.  While Itzel was off playing peek-a-boo with Avery, the adults conversed around the kitchen table.

As winter settled upon Moonlight Falls, the townsfolk began festivities for Snowflake Day.  Hunter held the family gift giving party at his house.

Unfortunately, tragedy struck this Snowflake day.  Kimberlee was on call and in the middle a unwrapping presents her pager went off for large structure fire.  Trying to rescue one of the persons caught in the fire, they both fell victim to the flames.  Ayden Van Gould, the oldest vampire in Moonlight Falls, also perished in the fire.  The fire inspector ruled the fire arson.

Hunter was heartbroken over the loss of his beautiful wife.

He snuggled Avery as much as he could.  He pitied that Avery would not grow up with his mother and felt Avery was his last connection to his wife.

Hunter did not cope with his grief well.  At one point he became so consumed with despair that he almost froze to death outside in the snow.  His saving grace, was that it was close to spring-time and once the sun came up the temperature warmed.  He was also pretty lucky that he thawed with enough time to flee from the rays of the sun. (I seriously thought he was going to freeze to death only to turn around and burn to a crisp.)

Life continued in the Brown household and the two quietly celebrated Avery's birthday.

Hunter bought an easel for Avery.  Avery seemed happiest with a paintbrush in his hand.

Of course, Hunter also had to remind Avery to do homework or it wouldn't get done.  He found it was easiest to sit with him until it was done.

During a little down time Hunter surprised Avery with a trip to Al-Simhara.

They visited many places.  Hunter figured that with Avery's artistic talent that he would also enjoy taking photos with a camera of his own.  Hunter gave Avery his very own camera.

 They camped in the desert.

And visited the pyramids at night, which was quite the sight to see.

Avery met a local girl his age and quickly made friends.  Soon he was off on his own and not interested in following Hunter around.

By the end of the vacation, Avery was tired of the outdoors and stayed at the camp as much as he could.  Hunter decided to go tomb exploring for the last adventure during this vacation.

Update 3.6

Summer turned to Autumn and Hunter and Kimberlee's relationship was still going strong.  Hunter was falling in love.  They enjoyed dates at the Festival and Hunter asked Kimberlee to move in with him.

The day of the Autumnal Blue Moon was upon them and Hunter's amorous intentions were extremely amplified.  He felt an extreme pull to mate with his girlfriend.

Luckily for Hunter, Kimberlee was agreeable to having a baby and they spent more of their day in bed.

Viola was hope that this fertile period would result for a baby for her as well, as Argus would not around for the next Autumnal Blue Moon, but a call from the lab did not result in the answer she was hoping for.

Hunter bought a dozen roses for Kimberlee.  She confirmed that she was pregnant.

On Spooky Day Ripley and Shanda brought Itzel over to trick-or-treat in a cute little gnome costume.

Hunter got to carving a jack-o-lantern for the front porch.

Hunter and Kimberlee enjoyed working out with each other.  Hunter was determined to master the martial arts and Kimberlee needed to keep in shape for her job.

Enough time had passed and Kimberlee began announcing her pregnancy.  The vampires did not have a baby boom this time around, though a couple were expecting.  Kailey and Gator were also expecting.

Argus delivered the news that Hunter and Kimberlee were expect a boy!

Hunter was in line for a promotion at work and worked into the early hours to meet the papers deadline with some reviews he had written up.

In early winter Hunter and Kimberlee bought their own house; a cute little three bedroom so they could use the third for a home gym.

As a firefighter Kimberlee went on maternity leave early.  She couldn't be rushing into burning building while pregnant.  Kimberlee spent her time fixing up the home, setting up the baby furniture, and feeding her cravings (which thankfully did not include plasma juice).

Hunter got the call in the editor's office that Kimberlee had gone into labor and he rushed to the hospital.

Argus was just leaving work when he saw Kimberlee walking up to the hospital so he accompanied her inside and waited with her until Hunter arrived.

Kimberlee gave birth to a beautiful little vampire boy.  They named him Avery.

Hunter was head over heels for his son and enjoyed working from home to take care of Avery while Kimberlee went back to work.

Exhilarated from family life and being completely in love with Kimberlee, Hunter bought a ring and asked Kimberlee to marry him.

Kimberlee said yes and threw herself into Hunter's arms.

On a cold and snowy night Hunter and Kimberlee gathered family and close friends and exchanged vows at the Winter Festival.
